The company has announced that five Saudi game studios have been selected to receive funding under its flagship Level Up gaming accelerator, marking the programme’s largest cycle to date. Following an initial mentorship phase supporting a further 18 studios, the latest cohort represents the most expansive Level Up cycle yet, according to NEOM.
Touted as a revolution in urban living, Saudi Arabia’s futuristic city known as THE LINE—part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Vision 2030 strategy—has been hit by issues with costs pressures, job cuts and delays. Saudi Arabia has awarded the main utilities and civil works contract for the Expo 2030 site in Riyadh to local contractor Nesma & Partners, earlier than planned, as the kingdom moves to accelerate construction of the project. The package aims to prepare the site for subsequent construction phases and supports the operational requirements of the event, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company said in a statement.

Texas-based neurotech startup Paradromics on Wednesday announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia's NEOM and said it will establish a Brain-Computer Interface Center of Excellence in the region. NEOM is a developing area within northwest Saudi Arabia that's touted as "a hub for innovation," according to its website.

In the northwest of Saudi Arabia’s AlUla region stands Maraya, a polished, mirror building that proves the raw desert can support surprising architecture. With its entire exterior covered in 9,740 square meters of reflective panels, Maraya holds the Guinness World Record as the largest mirrored building on Earth. It functions as a 500-seat concert hall and event venue where internationally recognized performers and cultural gatherings take place against the backdrop of the surrounding sandstone canyon.
Saudi Arabia has commenced large-scale construction activities on THE LINE, a planned linear urban development that forms the central component of the NEOM project in the country’s northwest. The project is a flagship initiative under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programme, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce long-term reliance on oil revenues through infrastructure, technology, and urban development investments.
