Kia announced on the 29th that it will work with Saudi company Red Sea Global to demonstrate its purpose-based vehicle (PBV) PV5.  RSG is also the name of one of Saudi Vision 2030's five Giga projects officially declared by Saudi Arabia, along with NEOM (future new city), Kidya (entertainment complex), Roshun (housing development), and Diriya (historic development). It aims to create nature-friendly luxury resorts and well-being tourism complexes on the Red Sea and the West Coast.

Kia plans to review the development of PV5 cargo models optimized for resort logistics and customized PV5 conversion models specializing in RSG's luxury resort operation, and also evaluate the possibility of introducing additional large electrified PBV models PV7 to be released in 2027.

The demonstration project is a follow-up to Hyundai Motor Group's signing of a "MOU" with RSG in March last year to introduce eco-friendly future mobility.
