New images revealed of Saudi Arabia's £1,000,000,000,000 mega city

New images of Saudi Arabia’s £1,000,000,000 mega city has been released, but it has left people even more confused. The country planned to transform their deserts into a city of 9 million people across a 105-mile stretch of line called NEOM in the Tabuk Province. The new concept images include a mirror skyscraper, and buildings floating over a marina, giving off the illusion of invisibility.

There’ll be a marina for its residents’ superyachts, a members-only beach club, a luxury golf resort, and a sports stadium 1,000ft above ground. NEOM’s social media account claimed the metropolis will ‘redefine livability’ and ‘transform how we live’.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wanted to move his country’s economy away from its reliance on oil and has invested heavily in the project.

It was first predicted to cost £1.2 trillion but now moving closer to £2 trillion if built in full.

Due to this, some areas of the project have had to be cut back, with the line only expecting to house 300,000 by 2030 instead, according to the Telegraph.
