NEOM extends 1.2 GW Gayal wind farm bid submission deadline


The Gayal wind farm, straddling 164 square kilometers with a capacity of 1,200MW, is set to be constructed northwest of the former town of Gayal in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk province by Enowa, a NEOM subsidiary. Originally, the bid submission deadline was set for January 29.

The deadline has now been extended to March 3. 

The project will have an estimated plot area of 164 square kilometres and is expected to have a capacity of 1,200MW. The project duration is 31 months from the start date of construction. 

NEOM plans to power 100% of its operations with renewable energy by 2030 and is actively pursuing renewable energy projects, including solar PV parks and wind farms, with consultants such as Assystem and Typsa.
