Saudi mega futuristic project NEOM attracting interest from foreigners

Saudi Crown Prince MBS's ambitious project, 'THE LINE', is still a work in progress, but it has already captured the attention of numerous foreigners. They are not mere spectators; they are enthusiastic about making it their home.

According to the inaugural Destination Saudi report by global property consultancy Knight Frank, nearly one-third of expatriates residing in Saudi Arabia are interested in purchasing a property in NEOM, the trillion-dollar megacity conceptualized by the Crown Prince.

This futuristic endeavor has emerged as the top preference for expats, surpassing other multi-billion-dollar projects like Jeddah Central and King Salman Park. The survey, which interviewed 241 expatriates who have called Saudi Arabia their home for over a decade, revealed that a significant 42% of them expressed interest in 'THE LINE', a 170 km long horizontal city within NEOM.

Additionally, Sindalah, an island shaped like a seahorse that is nearing completion, and Sharma Valley have also garnered considerable interest.

Faisal Durrani, Head of Research at MENA, expressed no surprise at these findings. He highlighted the allure of NEOM's ultra-futuristic offerings, stating, "NEOM has consistently ranked as the most preferred location for Saudis considering future home purchases in the Kingdom's Giga projects, and it seems that expats too have been enticed by the planned ultra-futuristic offerings in this colossal $500 billion super-city, which is roughly the size of Belgium." NEOM, with its cutting-edge features, seems to have successfully achieved its goal. 'THE LINE' promises a sustainable lifestyle with zero emissions.
