Saudi Arabia's ENOWA, in collaboration with Hydrogen Refueling Solutions (HRS), has successfully launched the nation's first heavy-duty hydrogen refueling station at Petromin Corporation. Operational in just 12 weeks, the station has already dispensed nearly 500 kilograms of hydrogen, fueling vehicles at both 350 and 700 bar pressures, marking a milestone in the NEOM region's green hydrogen ambitions.

In northwest Saudi Arabia, a massive man-made lake is being constructed, covering 1.5 square kilometers, as part of the TROJENA mountain resort within the ambitious NEOM megaproject. Three dams are being built to create this lake, with the main dam measuring 145 meters high and 475 meters long, and another spanning 790 meters. The primary structure will have a holding capacity of approximately 2.7 million cubic meters. The project is integral to the Saudi Vision 2030 program, aimed at diversifying Saudi Arabia's economy.

Saudia, a member of the SkyTeam alliance, has announced the commencement of bookings for its new NEOM Bay to London Gatwick service. This move, effective from the Northern Summer 2025 season, will see the airline replace its existing London Heathrow route with weekly flights to Gatwick. The service, which will operate using a 110-seater Airbus A320, reflects Saudia’s strategic focus on supporting the development of the NEOM project while enhancing connectivity to and from this emerging destination.

Mayar Holding Co. announced a SAR 2.3 million increase, excluding VAT, in the contract value between its subsidiary, Saudi Drip Irrigation Co., and NEOM Co.   In a statement to Tadawul, the company noted that this increase represents 8% of the original contract value.

The National Center for Wildlife (NCW), in cooperation with NEOM, has released on Tuesday 134 endangered species into NEOM Nature Reserve as part of programs for breeding and rewilding native species in their natural habitats.  NEOM Nature Reserve received 100 Arabian oryxes, 20 Arabian gazelles, eight Nubian ibexes, and six Idmi gazelles to enhance previous releases, enrich biodiversity, and restore ecological systems within the Kingdom's natural environments.
