 A tourism update from NEOM regarding TROJENA.

TROJENA is situated in the center of NEOM, 50 kilometers from the Gulf of Aqaba coast, in a region characterized by a mountain range with the highest peaks in Saudi Arabia at approximately 2,600 meters above sea level. TROJENA aims to change current perceptions of visitors and residents about the services that can be provided by mountain resorts, through its exceptional design, advanced architecture and technology that integrates reality with the virtual world.

Our reliance on technology grows more by the day, more efficient and saving time we can no longer imagine a world without technology. Sure, technology saves time and produces better results but is it taking over our lives in a way we are no longer able to control? With the growth of smart cities around the region technology is here to stay. Once upon a time, it seemed like a far-fetched fantasy on your TV but now technological advancement no longer surprises.

Young Saudis eager to do their bit to transform their country into a technology hub can access a wide range of tailored initiatives by the Saudi government and local institutions.  One of them is the Entrepreneurial Emerging Leaders Acceleration Program, launched by the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Entrepreneurship Institute (KFUPM-EI) in Dhahran, Eastern Province, to drive growth in local technology-based startups.

More than 700 US business, sustainability, and investment leaders attended a series of showcase events to highlight the development of NEOM, the $500 billion project owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, according to the project’s CEO.  The “Discover NEOM” events followed on from a similar exercise in London last year.

More than $500 billion will be invested, with money coming from the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund as well as private businesses.

Saudi Arabia's $500-billion gigaproject, NEOM, is expected to issue the request for qualification for contracts related to the high-speed rail scheme THE LINE project, Meed reported.   Within the next two months the future city that is currently in the development phase in Saudi Arabia, will issue the request, which will be handled in two packages; Package A and Package B. 

NEOM has concluded a series of 'Discover NEOM' events with investors and business partners in the United States as part of its ongoing efforts to highlight the project’s latest developments and explore investment opportunities. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, said: "We came to the United States to explore the significant market opportunities that NEOM presents to American corporations, to showcase the great progress NEOM has made and to discuss how we can best support the collaborative international effort to address global challenges."

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is considering buying a stake in Thyssenkrupp’s hydrogen unit as the oil-rich kingdom pivots to greener forms of energy production, people familiar with the matter said.  The sovereign wealth fund is in the early stages of studying a potential investment in the engineering conglomerate’s Nucera business, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential information.

The renewable energy projects that are being planned by Saudi Arabia to supply electricity to the green hydrogen based ammonia plant in the city of NEOM appear to have been disclosed. As per media reports, the renewable energy projects will be located in the North-West region of Saudi Arabia. It will be developed near the Jordan border to help the development of the $6.5 billion ammonia plant.
