Saudi climbing enthusiasts in search of a “new high” have been gathering in the desert near NEOM to try out 100 new routes opened late last year as part of Rise 100, the Kingdom’s first climbing festival. The single-pitch routes have become a favorite destination for a fast-growing and tight-knit group of climbers and adventurers.

MBC Studios, the production arm of leading Saudi media company MBC Group, has begun filming Rise Of The Witches – the biggest ever TV series to be made in the country. The 10-part adventure-fantasy series is being shot on purpose-built sets at NEOM, a $500bn megacity that is under construction in the northwest province of Tabuk, and holds the largest ever budget for special effects for a Saudi production, according to MBC.

Saudi Arabia has signed 49 deals worth $925 million in the second quarter of 2022, as the Arab world’s largest economy continues to attract new investment into the country to diversify away from oil. The deals were signed across sectors including advanced manufacturing, construction and real estate, information and communications technology, tourism, entertainment and sports.
Under the auspices of Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the NEOM development company will host on Tuesday, in cooperation with residents, the “NEOM … The Future of Man and Place” forum at the region’s Prince Sultan Cultural Center.
NEOM has received bids for the construction of the spine water transmission infrastructure worth SR1.9 trillion ($500 billion) for THE LINE project. China Harbour Engineering Company and South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering are two of the companies that have submitted the bids.

Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said his country will invest in Sharm el-Sheikh as part of $500 billion NEOM project.
The project will turn 50 Red Sea islands into luxury resorts. It will also include seven cities and tourism projects, while Egypt will focus on developing the existing resort cities of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada, a Saudi official told Reuters back in 2018.

The Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee (SOPC) has officially submitted a letter of interest to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) with regard to hosting the 10th Asian Winter Games (AWG) slated for 2029 in TROJENA, NEOM’s global destination for mountain tourism.
The letter included a brief introduction about the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 which will support TROJENA to host one of the most significant sporting events in Asia. Once the bid is validated, more than 32 Asian countries are expected to participate in the event, to be held for the first time ever in West Asia.
