NEOM, via its subsidiary ENOWA, has awarded a significant contract to Assystem. This contract has the potential to pave the way for the production of up to 20 gigawatts (GW) of photovoltaic solar energy in Saudi Arabia. Assystem, an international company specialising in engineering, digital, and project management services, was chosen to conduct a comprehensive suite of pre-development studies.
These services include conducting a thorough site assessment study, undertaking the preliminary design of the parks and master planning, carrying out environmental baseline surveys, conducting an environmental and social impact assessment study, as well as permitting studies.
