The ski resort, TROJENA, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project is tipped to become a "towering marvel of nature," Daily Star reported. Featuring a "vertical village" and a resort 70% covered in snow, TROJENA is set to become the world’s first ski resort in the middle of a desert.
According to the NEOM website, at TROJENA "amateurs and professionals alike will be able to enjoy the many ski runs of various difficulties with an array of contrasting and breath-taking views.
The futuristic resort will include a ski village, ultra-luxury family and wellness resorts, and a wide range of retail stores and restaurants.
It will also offer sports activities including a ski slope, water sports, and mountain biking, as well as an interactive nature reserve.
