Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Contracting (AETCON), based in Saudi Arabia, has clinched a significant contract to undertake the construction of a high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line within the Kingdom. The contract, valued at a substantial $155 million, is tied to the “Saudi NEOM-Yanbu 525kV HVDC Transmission Line Construction Project” and has been granted by the Saudi Electricity Company.

Spanning an extensive distance of 605 km, the HVDC transmission line will stretch from Yanbu, a major power production hub situated along the western coast of Saudi Arabia, to the emerging city of NEOM.
