A source close to the project has confirmed that NEOM will issue the request for proposals (RFP) for a PPP contract to develop the second wave of its deal to accommodate the project’s growing workforce. Saudi Arabia is preparing to open its first alcohol store in the capital Riyadh which will serve exclusively non-Muslim diplomats, according to a source familiar with the plans and a document. Not part of the NEOM project but Saudi Arabia is all set to build a unique oil-themed amusement park called ‘The Rig’ to boost the country’s scope of adventure tourism. The authorities plan to build it in the middle of the ocean. The country hopes to lure more than nine million travellers per year from around the world once the project is ready.
