The original concept captured worldwide attention with its bold promise. It imagined a 170-kilometre-long city without traditional roads, private cars or conventional urban layouts. Instead, residents would live in a highly connected environment powered by clean energy and supported by advanced transport systems.
However, as the project moves from a futuristic concept towards real construction, its development path has started to evolve.
