NEOM receives new bids for water recycling plant at OXAGON


EPC contractors have submitted bids to design and build a new water recycling and recovery plant for OXAGON, the industrial center of Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, reports MEED. The utility and energy subsidiary of NEOM, Enowa, received proposals from companies including PowerChina, Alfanar Company, and Orascom on October 30.

This is the second round of bids for the contract. Following initial negotiations, Enowa issued an addendum requiring revised submissions.
 
The OXAGON Village plant will include several key components: a facility for receiving wastewater trucks, pretreatment units with screening and equalization, a biological treatment system using food chain reactor technology, tertiary treatment, sludge handling, and recycled water storage tanks.
 
The project also includes infrastructure like internal roads, offices, and education centers.
