Hassan Allam Holding, a prominent construction and engineering corporation in Egypt and the MENA region, has announced that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, in partnership with El Seif Engineering Contracting and China Harbour Engineering Arabia,  won a construction contract with the Port of NEOM.

The contract covers engineering, procurement, and construction of the development of Container Terminal 1 and the Marine Services Area (MSA) at the port, located in OXAGON, northwest Saudi Arabia.

NEOM, previously known as Duba Port, was re-established in 2023 as a separate entity from the Saudi maritime regulator Mawani to redevelop the port into a gateway for advanced clean industries within the floating city of OXAGON.

The Port of NEOM, the first operational asset in OXAGON, aims to be the world’s most technologically advanced, efficient, and sustainable port. The development programme includes a new container terminal and a marine services basin capable of accommodating the world’s largest container vessels.
