Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince MBS has demonstrated that actions speak louder than words by achieving a significant milestone. The $1.5 trillion NEOM City has completed the construction phases of its underground parking and light rail systems. According to a press release, ten high-capacity rotary drilling rigs from Chinese construction manufacturer XCMG Machinery, part of the world’s largest integrated development project, completed three piles per day per drilling rig.

Despite challenging geology and entering the site a month later than others, the rigs, consisting of four XR500E, two XR600E, two XR320D, and two XR400D, finished their tasks two weeks early, a testament to the smart deployment of superlative machinery by officials.

NEOM boasts an impressive workforce of 140,000 construction workers dedicated to completing the city with zero carbon emissions.
