Dennis Hickey, Chief Development Officer of NEOM, provided a detailed update on the progress of the Saudi mega-project during a presentation at NEOM House in Davos, Switzerland. Particular attention was given to THE LINE, a 170-km-long, 500-m-high linear city designed to redefine urban living.

Progress is also being made on OXAGON, NEOM’s industrial hub located on the southern coastline. This futuristic port city will house advanced technologies, including robotics and clean energy solutions. Hickey noted the rapid expansion of port facilities and the integration of sustainable industrial innovation into its infrastructure.

TROJENA, NEOM’s adventure and eco-tourism hub, is under development with significant progress on its foundational infrastructure. The year-round destination will include ski slopes, hiking trails, and lakes, offering an unparalleled experience in the region.

Hickey acknowledged the complexities of building such an ambitious project from the ground up in a remote location. However, NEOM’s development is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, aimed at diversifying the economy and fostering global innovation.
