A Bauer Group subsidiary has been commissioned with two further construction phases for foundation work on a linear city that forms part of the NEOM megacity development in Saudi Arabia. The US$500bn (£414bn) NEOM project in the Tabuk province is set to become a hi-tech, sustainable city-state. The development is being funded by the Saudi Public Investment Fund owned NEOM Company.

Bauer has now been commissioned with two further construction phases for the foundation work on the Line, in which large bored piles with a diameter of up to 2.5m and a depth of around 70m will also be produced.

The company said that the construction progress is right on schedule, which means that the first order can be completed on time.

THE LINE is subdivided into roughly 135 modules, each comprising eight buildings founded on large diameter bored piles about 70m deep.
