A joint venture of Webuild and Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Company (Sajco) has been awarded a £1.2bn (€1.4bn) contract to design and build 57km of a high-speed railway in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. The high-speed railway, known as the Connector, will run north to south along the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia and will connect NEOM’s port city of OXAGON with its linear city, the Line.

Companies and project teams working on the Line include Trevi Group and Bauer subsidiaries as foundation contractors; Jacobs and Jasara, as well as Atkins, providing project and construction management consultancy; and Keller as geotechnical contractor.
